We provide concrete barrier blocks in Winston-Salem, NC. These blocks are also called “v-wedge” blocks. These blocks earned their name because of their v-wedes, which enable these blocks to slide together and interlock with each other. Each block has a total of four v-wedges: one on the top, one on the side, and an inverted version on the wedge on the bottom and opposite side. In addition, each block has a rebar handle loop, which you can use to move these blocks around without the use of complicated rigging equipment. We offer these blocks in two different sizes for the city of Winston-Salem: a 6’ x 2’ x 2’ block that weighs 3,600lbs and a 3’ x 2’ x 2’ block that weighs 1,800lbs. When it comes to transporting these blocks, per trailer, either eighteen of the 6’ blocks or twenty-six of the 3’ blocks can be fit. If you have any questions or would like more information about these blocks, please feel free to let us know by giving us a call. Someone from our wonderful team would be more than happy to speak with you.

Now, last but not least, let’s talk through the ways you can receive your blocks. You can select either delivery or pick up of your blocks. Each of these, however, have a few requirements that must be met on your end of things in order for them to go safely and smoothly. We will talk you through these requirements, starting with the delivery ones. First thing you will need to make sure of in delivery is having enough space for the delivery semi to safely enter and exit the drop off site. In order to do this, a space of 47’-53’ must be available. If you do not have access to this much space, we can discuss dropping the blocks off at another, nearby location and use smaller equipment to transport the blocks to the actual, desired location. Next, you must have the proper block offloading equipment. In order to properly and safely offload your blocks, the equipment must be able to 1) reach a height of 7’+ (this is because, in height, the trailer is 5’ and the blocks are 2’) and 2) withstand carrying the weight of your blocks (1,800-3,600lbs). Now we will talk about the pick up requirements. First off, you will need to give us a call. Someone from our team would be more than happy to set you up with a date and time to come to our facility and pick up your blocks. When you come, we will load the blocks onto the trailer for you. But, in order for us to secure the blocks down to the trailer, we ask that you provide us with straps and/or chains that are able to do just that. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. If you have any questions or concerns regarding either delivery or pick up, please do not hesitate to give us a call and we’d love to speak with you. Thank you!
