We provide concrete barrier blocks in Virginia Beach, VA; but what blocks are we talking about exactly? We are referring to what are also known as “v-wedge” blocks. These blocks are useful for a wide variety of projects, as they have the ability to slide together and interlock. This is because each block has a total of four v-wedges, which enable them to do so. You can find the v-wedges on the top, side and then an inverted version of the wedge on the bottom and opposite side. In addition, to make sure you don’t have to use complicated rigging equipment, each block comes with a rebar handle loop on its top, which you can use to simply move the blocks around. We offer these blocks in Virginia Beach: a 6’ x 2’ x 2’ block that weighs 3,600lbs. For transporting this block, each trailer can hold a total of thirteen of them. If you have any further questions about these blocks, please do not hesitate to give us a call. Someone from our team would be more than happy to speak with you.

Now, how exactly are our blocks useful? Well, they have been utilized by many different people in many different parts of the country. Some of the more common methods you can use our blocks are in projects such as: creating storage bins, creating storage for road district materials, managing parking lots, controlling traffic, anchoring down large tents, protecting fuel/propane tanks, creating concrete retaining walls, providing security for various utilities, separating property, and providing general weight. There are plenty more block uses out there. These are just merely examples and suggestions of the more common ways people tend to use them. If you have any other ideas or questions regarding our concrete block usage, please feel free to give us a call. 833-763-1711

Lastly, we will discuss how you should expect to receive your blocks after purchasing them. We offer two different methods of block transport: delivery or pick up. Both of these methods have a few different requirements on your end of things that must be met in order for them to go safely and smoothly. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding. If you have any questions or concerns of any kind, regarding either of these methods, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. Our team is more than happy to help. Thank you. Now, let’s start with the delivery requirements. First off, you must have an adequate amount of space (47’-53’) available at your drop off site so that the delivery semi can safely enter and exit the area. If you do not have this much space open for that purpose, we can discuss dropping the blocks off at another, nearby location and proceeding to use smaller machinery to transport the blocks to the actual, desired spot. Next, in order to offload the blocks off the trailer, you must have the proper type of block offloading equipment. In order to do this safely and efficiently, this equipment must be able to first, reach a height of 7’+. This is because the trailer is 5’ in height and the blocks are each 2’ in height. Second, the equipment must be able to withstand carrying your 3,600lb blocks safely. Thank you. Next up, we will discuss the pickup process. Now, the first thing you will need to do is give our team a call. This is so we can set you up with a block pick up date and time. When you come to pick up your blocks from our facility, we will load the blocks up for you; but we ask that you provide us with straps and/or chains that we can use to secure the blocks down. Thank you! Again, if you have any questions or concerns at all, we are just one call away. We look forward to hearing from you!
