We provide bin blocks in Redding, CA…but what particular type of block are they? Well, they are what we call v-wedge blocks. This block, specially selected for Redding, comes in four different sizes: a 6’ x 2’ x 2’ block that weighs 3,600lbs, a 4’ x 2’ x 2’ block that weighs 2,400lbs, a 3’ x 2’ x 2’ block that weighs 1,800lbs, and a 2’ x 2’ x 2’ block that weighs 1,200lbs. For transportation, each trailer can hold either thirteen of the 6’ blocks, eighteen of the 4’ blocks, twenty-six of the 3’ blocks, or thirty-seven of the 2’ blocks. Now, why do we call these blocks “v-wedge blocks”? Well, they earned their name based off of their interlocking system. These blocks come equipped with two sets of v-wedges: one set is located on the top and side, while a reverse version of the same wedge is located on the bottom and other side. These wedges enable each block to interlock smoothly and easily. This makes them handy for a number of projects. In addition, each of these blocks has a rebar handle loop on top of the block, which can be utilized for moving the blocks. So, luckily, these blocks require no special rigging equipment in order to move them! We provide concrete barrier blocks in Redding, CA.

Now that we’ve discussed block names, let’s talk about their uses! Concrete blocks are used all over the country and the world, making a difference in all kinds of projects, large and small. They can be used for smaller, more personal projects, or used in the community, making a difference for a number of people. Well, some of the uses our blocks serve have been in projects like: creating storage bins, property separation/privacy, parking lot management, traffic control, road district material storage, utilities security, protection for fuel/propane tanks, anchor weights for large tents, concrete retaining walls, and general weight. If you have any questions or ideas on the use of concrete blocks, please let us know!

All that we have left to discuss is transportation of your blocks! Your blocks can be transported in one of two ways: delivery or pick up. Now, let’s discuss the process of both of these options. First off, we have delivery. In order for you to select the option of block delivery, there are a few requirements that must be met on your end. First off, you must have the proper, and adequate amount of block, offloading equipment. This equipment must be able to reach a height of at least 7’+, because each block, in height, is 2’ and the trailer is usually 5’. It must also be able to carry a weight ranging from 3,600-1,200lbs, depending on the size of block you are offloading. In addition, your offloading site needs an open space of 47’-53’ so that the delivery semi can safely enter and exit the site. If this much space is not available, we can discuss drop off of the blocks at another, nearby location and then use smaller equipment to relocate the blocks. Next, let’s talk about pick up. To put the pick up process in action, the first thing you will need to do is give us a call. Then, someone from our awesome team will set you up with a date and time that you are available, to come out to our facility and receive your blocks. We will load the blocks up onto the trailer for you, but in order to secure the blocks to the trailer, we ask that you bring along a set of chains and/or straps in order to do so. If you have any questions about either of these processes, please contact us! We’d love to hear from you.  833-763-1711

In addition to serving many locations, we have many different concrete block names! Concrete block names can vary for a number of reasons. It’s possible a block received a certain name because of its particular shape, size, style, or use. Some of the concrete block names we lean towards using are as follows: barrier blocks, ecology blocks, mafia blocks, bin blocks, soldier blocks, waste blocks, lego blocks, jumbo blocks, interlocking v-blocks, stackable concrete blocks, large concrete retaining wall blocks, gravity wall blocks, leftover concrete blocks, and storage wall blocks. If you have any other block names that you are more accustomed to using, or ones you simply like more, please let us know and we can add them to our list!
