We offer four sizes of these v-wedge blocks for the city of Newport: a 6’ x 2’ x 2’ block that weighs 3,600lbs, a 4’ x 2’ x 2’ block that weighs 2,400lbs, a 3’ x 2’ x 2’ block that weighs 2,400lbs, and a 2’ x 2’ x 2’ block that weighs 1,200lbs. When it comes to transportation of these blocks, each trailer can carry up to thirteen of the 6’ blocks, eighteen of the 4’ blocks,twenty-six of the 3’ blocks, or thirty-seven of the 2’ blocks. Why are these blocks worth purchasing? These blocks can be used in quite a few different ways and have the unique ability of being able to be slid together and interlocked by utilizing their v-wedges. Each block has four of these v-shaped structures. On both the top and side of the block, you can find a protruding v-wedge, while both the bottom and opposite side of the block have an inverted v-wedge. These opposite shaped wedges are able to slide together smoothly and efficiently, enabling you to interlock the blocks, which is a feature that can be useful for a number of projects. These blocks also come equipped with a rebar handle loop. This loop is extremely useful as it allows you to move the blocks around without having to use complicated or special types of rigging equipment. We provide concrete bin blocks in Newport, ME. When it comes to the transportation of your blocks, we offer either delivery or pick up! You are able to select whichever option best suits your needs. However, there are a few different requirements that must be met for either of these options selected. We will go over these requirements below, starting with the delivery process. First off, you will need to make sure you have the proper type and size of block offloading equipment that is able to safely offload the blocks once they arrive at the drop off site. In order to safely offload the blocks, this equipment must be able to, first, reach a height of 7’+. This is because, in height, the trailer measures about 5’ and the blocks 2’. Second, this equipment must be capable of reliably carrying the weight of your blocks (1,200-3,600lbs). The last requirement for delivery is having an open, available space of 47’-53’ so that the delivery semi can safely maneuver in and out of the block drop off area. If you do not have access to this much space, we can discuss dropping the blocks off at another nearby area that does have enough space. From the secondary location, we can utilize smaller equipment to transport the blocks to the actual, desired site. That wraps up the delivery requirements! We will now move on to the block pick up requirements. First off, you will need to give us a call in order to set up a date and time to come to our facility and pick up your blocks. When you call, someone from our team would be more than happy to help arrange this. Once you come to pick up your blocks, we will load them onto the trailer for you, so no need to worry about that part of things. However, we do ask that you bring along a set of chains and/or straps that can be used to secure the blocks down to the trailer. That is all that there is for the pick up requirements as well! We appreciate your understanding and cooperation regarding these requirements. If you have any questions or concerns regarding either of these processes or requirements, please do not hesitate to give us a call today. Thank you!
