We provide concrete barrier blocks in Durham, NC. These blocks are useful for a number of different projects because they have the ability to slide together and interlock with one another. They can do this by using their v-wedges. Each block has a total of four v-wedges. One is on the top, another on the side, and an inverted version of the wedge can be found on the bottom and opposite side. In addition, each block has a rebar handle loop on its top, which enables you to move these blocks around without the use of complicated rigging equipment. We offer these blocks in two different sizes: a 6’ x 2’ x 2’ block that weighs 3,600lbs and a 3’ x 2’ x 2’ block that weighs 1,800lbs. As for transporting these blocks, each trailer can carry either thirteen of the 6’ blocks or twenty-six of the 3’ blocks. If you have any questions about these blocks or would like further information, please feel free to give us a call. We’d love to hear from you.

Now, lastly, we will discuss the ways you can expect to receive your blocks: delivery or pick up. Both of these options have certain requirements that must be met in order for them to go safely and smoothly, which we will discuss down below, starting with delivery. In order for delivery to go smoothly, first off, you must have the proper type of block offloading equipment that is capable of offloading your blocks once they arrive. In order to do this, the equipment must be able to 1) withstand carrying the weight of your blocks (1,800-3,600lbs) and 2) reach a height of 7 ‘+, because, in height, the trailer is 5’ and each block is 2’. Lastly, you must have an open space of 47’-53’ available so that the delivery semi can safely enter and exit the drop off site. If you do not have this much space available, we can discuss dropping the blocks off at another, nearby location that does have enough space and use smaller machinery to transport the blocks to the actual, desired spot. Next up, we will discuss the pick up requirements. First thing you will need to do to put pick up into motion is giving us a call. During this call, someone from our team would be more than happy to help set you up with a date and time to come pick up your blocks at our facility. When you come to pick them up, we will load the blocks onto the trailer for you, but we ask that you provide a set of chains and/or straps that can be used to secure the blocks down. If you have any questions or concerns about either delivery or pick up, we would be more than happy to speak with you. Please give us a call. Thank you.
