We provide bin blocks in Des Moines, IA, but perhaps you know these blocks by the name “v-wedge” blocks as well. These blocks are specially equipped with four v-wedges that allow each block to be slid together and interlocked with one another. On the top and side of each block, you can find a protruding v-wedge and on the bottom and opposite side, you can find an inverted v-wedge. These blocks also have the helpful feature of a rebar handle loop, which enables you to move these blocks around without having to use complicated rigging equipment. We offer these v-wedge blocks in one size for the city of Des Moines: a 6’ x 2’ x 2’ block that weighs 3,600lbs. When it comes to transporting these blocks, each trailer can carry thirteen of these blocks. If you have any questions or would like more information regarding these blocks, we’d love to speak with you. Please give us a call!

Now, how exactly do you receive your blocks after purchasing them? We have two methods of block transport available to you: delivery or pick up. However, both of these options have a few different requirements that must be met in order for them to go safely and smoothly. We will discuss these requirements with you down below, starting with the pickup process. First thing you will need to do is give us a call. During this call, someone from our team would be more than happy to help you out with setting up a date and time in which you can come to our facility and pick up your blocks. When you come to get them, we will load the blocks onto the trailer for you, but we ask that you bring along a set of chains and/or straps that can be used to secure the blocks down to the trailer. Next we will move onto the delivery requirements. First thing you will need to note is a space of 47’-53’ is needed in order for the delivery semi to safely enter and exit the site. If you do not have this much space available to you, we can discuss dropping the blocks off at another nearby location and then using smaller equipment in order to transport the blocks back to the actual site. Second, you need to have the right type and size of block offloading equipment. In order to properly offload the blocks from the trailer, this equipment must be able to do two different things. First, this equipment must be able to carry the weight of your blocks (3,600lbs). Second, this equipment must be able to reach a height of 7’+. This is because, in height, the trailer is 5’ and the blocks are 2’. If you have any questions or concerns regarding either of these processes or their requirements, please feel free to let us know and we would love to speak with you!
