Whatever You Call Them, We Supply Them.
One of the unique things about concrete blocks Dallas is that each individual and/or area uses different names for the blocks. The most popular names are: bin blocks, jumbo blocks, soldier blocks, stackable concrete blocks, mafia blocks, large concrete blocks, barrier blocks, gravity wall blocks, interlocking v-blocks, lego blocks, ecology blocks, building blocks, storage wall blocks, bunker blocks, waste blocks, large concrete retaining wall blocks, and left-over concrete blocks. Do you have another name for them? Let us know so we can add it to our list.
The type of blocks we offer in the North Texas area is what we call the V-Wedge block. The full length V-wedge blocks are 3,600 lbs. and measure 6’L x 2’W x 2’H. This type of block has a V-shaped wedge on the top and another V-shape wedge along one side. The V-Wedge is 5-3/4”wide at the base and extends out 2-3/4”. There is a handle loop made of rebar centered on the top. It makes picking up and moving the blocks a breeze. Along the bottom and other side have a negative V-wedge so that the blocks can interlock if needed for your project. This concrete blocks Dallas style is also available in half size. The half sized blocks weigh 1,800 and measure 3’L x 2’W x 2’H. 13 full length blocks can fit per flat bed delivery or up to 26 half length blocks.
What Are The Uses For The Blocks?
Our Concrete Block Supply bin blocks have a variety of uses. A few of the most popular uses in the industry have been storage bins for aggregates, retaining walls with large concrete blocks Dallas, traffic control, parking lot management, property access prevention, steel building protection, anchor weights for tents, division of areas, utilities protection, protection for propane tanks or other above ground fuel tanks, separation of properties at the boundary lines, and as a general use heavy object. Blocks are built in a way that they easily interlock with other blocks, allowing for flexible configurations, especially when using full, half, and corner blocks.
How Do You Get the Blocks to Your Job Site?
There are two options to get the concrete blocks to your job site. We can either offer delivery or pick up. The first option is that Concrete Block Supply can arrange for a flat bed semi to pick the blocks up and deliver them to your job site. You will need to have equipment onsite to offload the blocks yourself, once the truck arrives at your job site. The equipment you will need to offload the concrete blocks Dallas must be capable of lifting 3,600 lbs for the full length blocks or 1,800 lbs if you are only getting half length blocks. The standard deck height on a flat bed is 5’ and the blocks are 2’ in height, so your offloading equipment needs to be able to reach up high enough to pick the blocks up off of the trailer deck. Most people rent a small telehandler or forklift if they don’t already own something capable. The concrete blocks have a loop handle made of rebar located on the top so that you can easily attach a hook from a strap or chain to move them around. No special rigging or lifting equipment is required to move these concrete blocks. Also, please keep in mind your job site must have enough space for a 48’-53’ semi truck to maneuver. If you do not you will need to set up an accessible location close to your site to offload the blocks. Then use a smaller trailer or equipment to move the blocks to your job site location. The second option is for you to pick up the blocks at the local plant yourself. We can set that all up by arranging a day and time for you to pick them up from your designated
