What are the different names for these concrete blocks?

Bin Blocks

To start with we will talk about the different types of bin blocks. These blocks are used for a variety of things. However, the most common way is to create storage bins. The bins can be in any shape or size.

Concrete Barrier Blocks

Similar to bin blocks, concrete barrier blocks were given their names from their usages as barriers. The barriers that are created from these blocks can be used in many different places. For example, you can use them to create a barrier on a job site or you own personal property. They can be used to prevent damages to utilities, propane or fuel tanks, or to close off an area or zone.

Mafia Blocks

We have guessed that the term “mafia block” was most likely coined in the New Jersey or New York areas. Concrete block production used to be controlled or run by the mafia in these areas, as a result the blocks were nicknamed “mafia blocks.” Regardless of their name they are usually used in the infrastructures of bridges or highways.

Ecology Blocks

Ecology blocks most likely got their name because they are created from a process that includes recycling. These blocks are made from the excess or leftover concrete from different jobs sites. The leftover concrete is poured into the mold and formed over time when the molds eventually get filled up after the job leftovers. Rest assured you are making a responsible choice to select these blocks for your project.

Bunker Blocks, Interlocking Concrete V-Blocks, Lego Blocks, Knob Blocks, Large Concrete Retaining Wall Blocks, Waste Blocks, and Gravity Wall Blocks are other various nicknames that these blocks have been known by in different parts of the country.

How do I get the concrete barrier blocks?

You can get these blocks in two different ways: delivery or pick-up. To help with the decision you can give us a call today and we can assist you. If you select delivery we will need you to have a space big enough for our truck to maneuver 47-53”. You will need equipment to unload the blocks on site. If you can’t fit the truck on the jobsite we can discuss delivery to a nearby area.  You will need machinery that can reach up to 7+ feet in height to get the blocks off the trailer. The weight of the blocks varies depending on the size of blocks, so please discuss with our team the weight to ensure your equipment is capable of lifting the weight.

What are the uses of these concrete blocks?

Creation of Storage Bins

One of the most popular uses, among the many uses, of concrete blocks is the creation of storage bins.

Retaining Walls

Large concrete retaining wall blocks help out with exactly what their name implies: creating retaining walls.

Castle Blocks

Castle blocks come in two different sizes: a full sized 6’ x 2’ x 2’ block that weighs 3,600lbs and a half size version that weighs 1,800lbs. 

Knob Blocks

We provide  two different sizes of knob blocks: a full sized 4’ x 2’ x 2’ block that weighs 2,400lbs and a half sized version of the block that measures 2’ x 2’ x 2’ and weighs 1,200lbs. 

Dome Blocks

The sizes we sell in our dome blocks are: a 6’ x 2’ x 2’ block that weighs 3,600lbs and a 4’ x 2’ x 2’ block that weighs 2,400bs. 

Flat Blocks

We have this block in three different sizes. We carry an 8’ x 2’ x 2’ block that weighs 4,800lbs, a 6’ x 2’ x 2’ block that weighs 3,600lbs, and a 4’ x 2’ x 2’ block that weighs 2,400lbs.

How are the blocks made?

The blocks are made from molds that are filled with concrete mixture.  

How do I place an order?
